BIRMINGHAM, England — Spy photographers caught the 2010 Jaguar XF-R in the U.K. this week, and the latest shots offer a good look at the XF's future R treatment.
Hood vents combine with a more aggressive front airdam and new grille mesh to distinguish the XF-R from the standard Jaguar XF sedan.
The future Jag's large wheels are taped to cover the tire spec, but the new wheel design is clearly visible. Quad exhaust tips dress-up the XF-R's rear end.
Although official specifications have not yet been released, the sleek new sedan is reported to be getting a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 rated above 500 horsepower, making the 2010 Jaguar XF-R a worthy competitor to the BMW M5 and the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG.
What this means to you: If the standard supercharged V8 model isn't enough for you, the XF-R should bring an additional 80 hp. — Kelly Toepke, News Editor
