2010 Spyker C8 Aileron

Article file under http://www.topspeed.com

First revealed as a concept car two years ago at the same show, the C8 Aileron finally saw its final design: production version was revealed today at the Geneva Motor Show. The first cars are being built now with customer production and deliveries starting in May 2009.

C8 Aileron is powered by a Audi 4.2 litre V8 engine, delivers 400 bhp and will be available with two transmission alternatives. The first one is a 6-speed Getrag manual gearbox, with ratios perfectly matched to the V8 engine. This is joined by a ZF 6-speed automatic gearbox, which comes standard with paddle shifts behind the steering wheel, to progress smoothly through the ratios. It makes the 0 to 60 mph sprint in 4.5 seconds and can hit a top speed of 187 mph.

The C8 Aileron’s design is heavily inspired by Spyker’s aviation heritage, as was the case with all previous models. Compared to previous models, the C8 Aileron features a larger grille that gives additional cooling. Also the rear diffuser was redesigned for improved functionality. An extra spoiler has been placed under the diffuser, providing additional downforce to boost the ground effect produced by the diffuser.

2009 Citroen DS

Although Citroen revealed the official details about the reviving the DS line back in February, it used the Geneva Motor Show to give the car its first public showing. The DS3 will be joined by two other larger model’s in Citroen’s future lineup. The technical detail is not available yet for any of the DS line.

What was shown in Geneva was just a concept preview. The production version will be revealed in 2010, and Citroen has set cars like the Audi A3 and Alfa Romeo 149 as its main competition. Eventually the DS3 will be joined by large siblings currently known as the DS4 and DS5.

The original DS was referred to as "Goddess" because of its strange and beautiful styling (also the French pronunciation of D-S, “deesse”, translates to goddess). Now Citroen says it wants DS to stand for “Different Spirit”. From what we’ve seen so far, the new DS is dead-on stylish, but as for different from the competition, the Mini may have something to say about that.

Lamborghini Murcielago LP650-4 Roadster Photos Leaked

Article file under http://www.worldcarfans.com

The mysterious machinations of the Internet have placed internal Lamborghini documents on the LamboCars forum, which is of course the most natural place for them to be. That means that we get a sneak peek at factory pictures of the upcoming Lamborghini Murcielago LP650-4 Roadster. This limited-edition supercar will see a run of just fifty cars and is scheduled to debut shortly.

The photos, which appear to be a PowerPoint presentation, show the interior and exterior of the LP650-4 Roadster in production trim with notes. Read it aloud to yourself, and it might be just like being at the press conference.

As the name suggests, the LP650-4 Roadster gets the same 6.5 liter, 650-horsepower V12 as the Reventon, 18 horsepower more than the LP640-4. Special gray trim with orange details and black wheels set the special edition apart. Lambo's e-gear transmission, a navigation system and back-up camera will also be available. Lamborghini reports a 3.4 second 0-60 run, and pricing will be around $400,000 when the Murcielago LP650-4 Roadster goes on sale. We doubt it'll be around for long.
